Broken Strings - James Morrison feat. Nelly Furtado

Let me hold you
For the last time
It's the last chance to feel again
But you broke me
Now I can't feel anything

When I love you,
It's so untrue
I can't even convince myself
When I'm speaking,
It's the voice of someone else

Oh it tears me up
I try to hold on, but it hurts too much
I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay

You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I can't tell you something that ain't real

Oh the truth hurts
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

Oh what are we doing
We are turning into dust
Playing house in the ruins of us

Running back through the fire
When there's nothing left to save
It's like chasing the very last train when it's too late

Oh it tears me up
I try to hold on, but it hurts too much
I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay

You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I can't tell something that ain't real

Well the truth hurts,
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

But we're running through the fire
When there's nothing left to save
It's like chasing the very last train
When we both know it's too late (too late)

You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I cant tell you something that ain't real

Well truth hurts,
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before

Let me hold you for the last time
It's the last chance to feel again

Errr. I just can't get enough of this song. It keeps on playing and playing and playing inside my big fat head. Errr. Why is this happening to me?!

Wishful Thinking

I was browsing some weird and lame stuff online when I got an interesting IM from a certain special individual we'll call "Same Name." It went something like this...
Same Name: oy kamusta?!
BUZZ!!!
Juan Paulo Gultiano: oy
Juan Paulo Gultiano: kamusta?
Juan Paulo Gultiano: okay lang
Juan Paulo Gultiano: hahah
Same Name: ako ata una nagtanong
Same Name: ok lang

Same Name: last day bukas!
Juan Paulo Gultiano: uyyyy
Juan Paulo Gultiano: ayos ah
Juan Paulo Gultiano: at long last
Juan Paulo Gultiano: graduate ka na
Juan Paulo Gultiano: :-D
Same Name:

Juan Paulo Gultiano: take care
Juan Paulo Gultiano: do well on your finals
Juan Paulo Gultiano: God bless
Same Name has signed out. (25/02/2009 08:45 م)

Although it appears as an intellectual discourse between two close friends from two different time zones, I can't help but wonder on the italizied statement from Same Name on the latter part of the intruiging IM. Not to mention the succeeding smiley.

Errr.

Is this wishful thinking or I'm just bored and homesick?

Nevertheless, I have to go and prepare my stuff for tomorrow's tiring work. It's back to the salt mines for you, Paulo. Haha.

Missing Someone

I was fixing some random stuff inside the PACU, as usual, when an absurd yet interesting question suddenly popped out of my head:
Of all the people back home, with the obvious exception to my family and close friends, who do I miss the most?

Pretty neat, huh?  Haha. :-D

Surprised, I suddenly found myself flipping through thousands and thousands of stored images in my not-that-big of a brain; my neighbor, the taho vendor across our street every morning , my favorite tricycle driver, the gym owner/model, the sausage vendor, Starbucks baristas, my uber perky gym instructor, and so on and so forth. Ang dami nila! Yikes!

Who could this fortunate individual be? Errr. I seriously don't know.

Anyways, I'm way too busy with work, extra work and more work to actually think of this person. Seriously, I can think of something way better and useful than some random human being back in the Philippines. Besides, whoever this Homo sapien is, I'm pretty damn sure that he or she isn't thinking of me. Tough luck, eh?

*Sigh*

Why is this happening to me?

"Is this real life?"

"Is this going to be forever?"

Seriously funny! Not to mention cute! Haha. Loved every second of it! Kudos! :-D

Happy Birthday, Carina!

[caption id="attachment_652" align="aligncenter" width="500" caption="Happy birthday, Caren!"]Happy birthday, Caren![/caption]

To my ever dearest best friend, Ma. Carina M. Camacho, RN, happy 24th birthday!

I wish you good health, spiritual peace and a very long and rich life. Nyahahahahaha. :-)

You do know that, even though I am half-way around the globe, I still have your best interests at heart. We don't get to talk that often due to work and more work, but I seriously miss our non-stop and nonsensical chats over utterly expensive coffee. Not to mention our infinite window-shopping sprees and countless day-dreaming sessions.

I miss you, Caren. Be good and strong for me, okay?

Oh! By the way, stop whinning too much about Matt. You love him, right? So, love him just because he's Melanius Matthew Correa. End of discussion.

See you soon!

Clearly Unclear

Just got home from my 12-hour OR-PACU shift and, as expected, I'm as tired as ever. Nothing new about that, right? Haha.

Anyways, let me fill everyone in on a certain "story" that I heard the other day. I was taking my well-deserved 30-minute break when I was joined by a certain individual I'll call "Master Zen." According to this influencial being, there are rumors circulating the hospital premises that all Pinoy OR folks will be permanently relocated to another area. At first, of course, I immediately shrugged the said matter off saying that it's an ancient issue that has been resolved late last year. Surpringly, though, the issue has been, according to Master Zen, resurfaced due to the simple reason that we don't work inside the OR. Period.

Here's the funny thing about this intriguing controversy: the author of this unlawful and treacherous act is actually from the OR itself! YIKES!

The identity of that person is, of course, a secret I intend to keep. Master Zen did mention a couple of eminent names to which I immediately cringed and drank a cup of  hot tea.

Moreover, I also learned that most, if not all, of the Pinoys in the hospital are aware of this particular thing. Flabbergasted, I took another sip of tea and smiled my heart out. Haha. Wow, talk about the speed of light, or something.

Oh, by the way, thank you to SexyGirl14. :)
