Coffee, anyone?

Errr. Do I know you?

Well, I can't think of a decent title for this post since I've been preoccupied with tons of celebrations, including my own birthday celebration. Yes, I recently celebrated my 23rd birthday here in Egypt. Obviously, I rejected all the crazy house party teasing and settled for a 2-part birthday "inuman" session with my neighbors. Don't worry, guys. I'll be posting all the images from my birthday bash sometime soon. For now, I'll just update everyone with what has been happening with my life here in Egypt.

  1. I had an intense argument with my Egyptian supervisor the other day due to my co-workers persistent nuisance. I argued that every patient, whether stable or a VIP, is still a patient that needs ample silence and nursing attention. Obviously, she was biased with her own kind and warned me to be very careful. Of course, I will.

  2. My flatmates think I'm stupid. I don't know why they think of me that way but I presume it's because of the simple fact that I can't cook anything. Nevertheless, I separated from them na, in terms of food expenses, just to settle everything. Silence is sooo therapeutic.

  3. Work has been intense, as always. I've been doing things I never thought I'd actually do, like assisting in CABG cases. Not to mention the fact that I've been trying to improve my nursing skills everyday in order to be a better nurse. Unfortunately, the system inside the OR consumes my idealism. Too bad.

  4. I'm lifting weights again. Yipeee! I found thing cool gym near our flat that has everything that I nee: appropriate ventilation, nifty equipment, and treadmill! Yahoo! I usually go there after work to maximize my adrenaline levels. I'm actually starting to feel my muscles again. Hahaha.

  5. Think. Think. Think. Yes, I've been overthinking again. I spend tons of glucose on overthinking that I sometimes need a candy just to overthink again. Uggh. Boring life, ain't it?

  6. I miss the Philippines. Traffic in EDSA. Krispy Kreme in Megamall. Strabucks Gateway Mall or Araneta Center. Dairy Queen Gateway. Gateway Cineplex 10. Trinoma window shopping. Care-free dates and endless talking. My mother's consistent sermon in the morning. My sister's whining. My nephew's perkiness. My lola's laugh. My bestfriend's text messages. Sunday Mass at St. Claire. Endless internet connection.  You. Blah. Blah. Blah.

  7. My Dad has been very supportive of me lately. He has been calling me every once in a while just to check if I'm still breathing or something. I sure miss his company.

  8. "I don't have the strength to stay away from you anymore" - Edward Cullen, Twilight

  9. Errr. Do you still think of me?

  10. One Venti Extra Hot Non-Fat Caramel Macchiato to go, please. Thank you.
