I found these words pretty much interesting not only because of their use and meaning, but also to the fact that all of them were taken from the 1980 BBC rendition of "Pride and Prejudice." Hope you'd find them useful in your daily conversations.

• Ardently - warmth of feeling / passionately


• Avarice - insatiable desire for wealth or gain


• Caprice - sudden, impulsive, and unseemingly unmotivated action or decision


• Frivolous - of little weight or importance


• Hackneyed - lacking in freshness or importance


• Whimsical - sudden idea or turn of mind


• Officious - volunteering one's services where they are neither asked nor needed
