After weeks and weeks of uncertainty and hesitation, Joe Edward Rivera (the organizer) was finally able to materialize the much awaited and much anticipated 2008 AOM Summer Escapade at the Club Manila East in Taytay, Rizal. Obviously, I was looking forward to the said occasion since we did the ocular inspection of the venue a couple of weeks ago. Also, I was expecting to spend some quality time (or so to speak) with my high school buddies because I haven't seen and talked to most of them since the AOM Christmas Bash. Unfortunately, only 7 people were present at the said event, which includes:
- Juan Paulo Gultiano (Me, Myself and I)
- Ma. Carina Camacho (BFF)
- Melanius Matthew Correa (The Boyfriend of BFF)
- Joe Edward Rivera (The Organizer)
- John Patrick Mariano (The Joker)
- Roel Capuno (The Whiner)
- Jantzen Pulido (The Organizer's Fantasy)
Wow. Seriously, talk about attendance and information dissemination. Joe Ed was, of course, kind enough to text every AOM in his phone book (Globe, Smart and Sun alike) just to keep everyone well informed about the said event. But alas, only 7 (most of which are unemployed) bothered to heed the call.
Nevertheless, we had loads of fun at the venue because of all of the unique and exciting facilities (the wave pool, the slide, the lazy river, the NU 107 mini-concert, and the kayaks), plus the ambiance was stellar. Of course, I took the liberty of assuming my favorite job as the official photographer of the group since I enjoyed doing it. Haha. :)
Here are some shots I took of our 7-man group. Do enjoy them. :)
Kayak, please?
Me and BFF at the lounge (or so to speak).
My favorite Pinoy band, Urbandub, performing their track "Guillotine."
Of course, I grabbed the opportunity to have my photo taken with their lead vocalist, Gabby Alipe. ROCK ON!
Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks wannabes. :)
The controversial 3-some kiss. Gossip, anyone?
Wacky shot from above.
Wacky shot from above Part 2.
Do I hear wedding bells? Haha. :)
Parting shot with the Club Manila East Tomb Stone (I think).
After which, we ate dinner (Yellow Cab Pizza and Pasta) at Ace's place. Gluttony? :)
I'll be posting all of the pictures on my multiply site (nursejp.multiply.com) tomorrow. So, stay tuned and be patient. Thank you. :)
In conclusion, the said escapade was memorable, pleasurable and exhilarating. Of course, we can't deny the fact that it lacked in sufficient and prominent AOM participants, which could've made the whole thing more enjoyable and pleasing. But, luckily, it was well compensated with intimacy and exclusivity among the 7-man team that made this summer escapade unique and distinct. Plus, the location and its facilities were marvelous and fantastic. Fun, fun, fun. Haha. :)
Oh! By the way, happy birthday to Jantzen Pulido.
Coffee, AOM?
