Thomasian Pride

[caption id="attachment_145" align="aligncenter" width="100" caption="Go USTe! Go USTe! Go USTe! Go! Go! Go! Go!"]Go USTe! Go USTe! Go USTe! Go! Go! Go! Go![/caption]

When I heard the news that 29 Thomasians from Batch 2008 made it to the top 10 of the recently released June 1 & 2, 2008 Nurse Licensure Examinations, I was seriously teary-eyed! Garnering a 98% passing rate was also overwhelming, considering the number of examinees from UST. It was total redemption for the college since the June 2006 NLE fiasco. It was a well-deserved achievement for the University, the College and, most especially, our mentors.

Iba talaga kapag galing ka ng USTe!

And now, without further adieu, here is the official list of Thomasian Board Topnotchers, thanks to Ma'am Famorca. Haha.

  3. I just happend to read your blog by accident and I commend you for a very entertaining blog. I'm also a Thomasian Nurse (Batch 1995) and now working in the US for the last 8 years. I used to work at Heart Center before I left the country. I think our batch was the last one to achieve a 100% passing rate and had 50+ Thomasian nurses in the top 20. I remember Dean Maceda didnt go down from the stage at the Araneta Coliseum when they announced the topnotchers because there were so many UST grads. Those were the days and it still makes me proud whenever I remember it. Good luck!

Wow! I remember that line back in the sophomore year! She uttered those same words back then! And, she was right all along! Haha.

    BTW, she's my idol. :)

  7. ya i remember one of our professors mentioning that batch 95 was the last 100% batch. That was really our aim! Anyway, we did our best and I believe it was not bad! Iba parin talaga ng thomasian nurses, ndi lang sa theoretical focused ang training! ;)
